Debut EP – Growth
On March 27, 2026, Wilful Skilful releases his highly anticipated debut EP, Growth, via Dasvibes / Double Hungry Music – a seven-track body of work that chronicles the unfiltered journey from hunger and struggle to resilience, elevation, and victory. The project opens with the anthem “Ambitious” and builds through warmth on “Call On Me,” raw grit on “Double Hungry,” street-level tension on “Run Up” and “My Gun,” before arriving at its emotional centrepiece – “Mus Overcome” featuring the iconic Wayne Wonder. The EP closes on a high with “I A Win,” a victory anthem that feels earned after everything that came before it. The EP also features contributions from Dean Loyal, Mr Popnz, Uniquee, and Dasvibes, and is distributed by Symphonic Distribution.
Historic Milestone
In a groundbreaking moment for Jamaican music history, Wilful Skilful became the first upcoming Jamaican artist to take a private jet to enter the USA, marking a significant milestone in his career. This historic achievement culminated in him opening for Bounty Killer’s first US performance in 15 years at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, on Saturday, July 5th, 2025. The event, titled “The Return of the Warlord Bounty Killer,” was presented by Reggae Fest and represented a full-circle moment for the artist who grew up in the same Seaview Gardens community that produced the legendary Bounty Killer.
Career Journey
Since his first single “Nuff Nuff” in 2012, Wilful Skilful has steadily built a reputation through performances across Jamaica and collaborations with top producers. With each release, he showcases his versatility as both a lyricist and performer. Now, with the support of the DasVibes label and his growing international fanbase, he took his career to the next level with a UK tour in November 2024.
The official music video for “Ambitious” was shot while on tour in the UK and released on April 25, 2025. It is currently featured on the Vevo Riddim Nation playlist, further cementing Wilful Skilful’s place as a rising star to watch.
