Rising Reggae talent Blessed hails from St. Thomas, Jamaica and by the time he immigrated to Canada at the age of twelve, he was already writing his own songs. Since that time he has never
stopped writing original reggae music. Blessed continues to top charts and garnish international attention. The Jamaica Star Newspaper’s story “Blessed delivers ‘irie’ EP” ran in 2020 and
stated, “Jamaica-born Canadian reggae artiste Blessed is banking on the success of his recently released EP titled Just Blessed Just Irie.”
Blessed has been nominated 9 times in the JUNO’s “Best Reggae Recording” category and has opened for artist such as Lauren Hill, Beres Hammond, Rita Marley, Alton Ellis, & Gregory Isaacs
to name a few. Blessed has graced many stages of festivals and venues with his upful, energetic performances.

Blessed believes in the One Love philosophy, while striving to empower his fellow men with tunes like “Black Man”. The
Jamaica Observer Newspaper recently wrote, “Blessed speaks for the Black Man. TWO-TIME Juno Award winner, reggae artiste Blessed has thrown his hat in the ring in support of black people. His
latest song, Black Man , highlights the injustices being meted out to people of colour around the world.” The inspiration to write Black Man came from the current state of black people around the world. His Sophomore EP- New To You scheduled for release in May 2021,contains 10 tracks of previously released songs as well as new unheard tracks. Blessed worked with Grammy-Winning Producer Walshy Fire
who Produced two tracks (“Money Don’t Grow Pon Trees” & “Herb Dream”) on the EP. The album will be distributed by Zojak Worldwide. It was titled New To You because even though Blessed got his break in
2001 he’s still considered a new artist to some, it also has to do with the previously released songs that most people are going to be hearing for the first time. The first single from the EP, “Herb Dream” was
produced by Walshy Fire & The Expanders was recently added to REGGAEVILLE’S “GANJA, WEED, HERB, CANNABIS & MARIJUANA” Playlist. His debut album Titled Blessed was released in 2010 by
Explorer Records/Universal Records.
The summer of 2020 brought forth “Elektra Riddim” from the Ontario-based music label, Explorer Records,X Seychelles’ production company, Dareal Thing Recordz. The Album featured Blessed and Superstar Elephant Man + more. Also, his song “Rise and Shine” with legendary singer Tarrus Riley also created a huge buzz in 2015. ● In 2002, he received critical acclaim for his break-out international urban hit “LOVE” (African Woman), which earned him a JUNO for Best Reggae Recording
● Nominated for three Prestigious JUNO Awards: 2017 for “Cry every day” in 2018 for “Hold up slow down” and in 2019 for “Money Don’t Grow Pon Trees” produced by
Grammy awards winner Walshy Fire.
